5 Tips to Working Your Curves in Photos

Whether you have an hour glass shape or an athletic build, every woman has curves. You don’t have to be built like Beyonce or LaTecia Thomas to show off your booty. With the best tips and tricks, any woman with any body type can flaunt her curves.

Every woman has curves, you have to know how to work them.

Personally, I didn’t realize I was already doing the exact same thing as her. Not just because I have a similar body type as Iskra but it’s what I do with my body to make posing a bit more fluent and flattering in pictures. I will show you how to amplify your best assets. No editing required.

One foot in of the Other

This may be a popular one among fashion bloggers but in case you didn’t know, this is an easy way to create lines with the body. No matter how baggy your clothes are, placing one foot forward creates an intricate look causing one’s eye to dance along your newly formed curves and honestly it’s flattering in all angles.

Arch that Back Girl!

Posture is everything! Not only does Iskra have one foot in front of the other, she is swaying her back and aligning it straight up. Sitting up straight makes you look naturally proportional. If you want that booty to pop and sit high, arch your back and stick your butt out but so hard it looks unnatural, just enough to curve your backside.

Knee Pop & Sit

Similar to the ‘one hand on the hip’ pose, this knee pop look is sorta the same. Pop the knee out to one side and sit in your hip on the opposite side; example: pop your right knee and sit in your left hip. Be sure to arch your foot on the pop knee to bring height, making it easier to sit in your hip.

Lean & Stick

Maybe you want to avoid the knee pop & sit pose and try something that’s not as popular or too posy. How about a relaxed position where it feels a bit more casual? Leaning to the side naturally makes other areas pop. I like this pose because it’s chill and takes minimal effort. Just lean onto the counter and stick one of your hips out to the side.

Prop Your Leg UP

Anytime you prop your leg, you instantly create that famous C shape for your backside. This particular pose is great for putting emphasis on the hips and butt, plus this look is different from the traditional hand on hip. Another great aspect of this pose is the initial feeling you get to sit up straight, which we all know great body posture is flattering for showing off your shape.

Above everything, you most importantly need confidence to automatically look stunning in photos. Not matter what shape you have, every woman has curves, it’s all about working them in a flattering way.

    number 1 tip

    SIDE LEG SLIM THICK POSE

The classic side leg pose can help give your body curve definition and create a “fullness” depth perception. Just make sure you smooth out your clothing which clearly I didn’t do a good job of! If you stand like this it is a perfect way to look thinner and thick at the same time.

    BEND DOWN SLIM THICK POSE

This was the classic Y2K high school pose whenever it was time to take pictures the girls would hit the floor and just distinctively knew to pop-out our butts and because the pose is compacted it’s the perfect pose to hide belly fat.

REAR BUTT LIFT SLIM THICK POSE

This pose has a few aspects to it, first, you need to make sure that you turn around at an angle so that your booty can flex. Also, by having your hand you can also push out your body a little bit more. Lastly, the shirt I was wearing was a little loose, make sure you get one that is as fitted as possible so when you do your arch turnaround your lines are as smooth as possible.

Cross over your leg helps to give your body definition and create a slim look while also popping out your curves. This is a great pose to make you look curvy.  Just make sure that your leggings are fitted these were a little big on me so they created epic “camel toe!” Lastly, by placing your hands at your sides you can cover up “hip dips” if you want to hide them.
